Valentines day is just around the corner and this year the most romantic of days falls on a Saturday.  Therefore, it is important to make it spectacular. We have completed a list of 5 romantic getaways within easy reach of New York City.

5) Blackberry Farm, Smoky Mountains, TN
A brief flight to this 4,200 acre farm will lull you into a romantic state of mind.  Take a carriage ride and enjoy cuisine made from the freshest ingredients.  The hotel also has an extensive wine cellar.

4)The Pitcher Inn & Spa, Sugarbush, VT
located in the heart of a charming village, The Pitcher Inn is an exceptionally romantic destination. The rooms are individually designed; each has an imaginative and romantic atmosphere.

3)The Lodge at Woodloch, Hawley, PA
For relaxation and rejuvenation, this luxury spa retreat is the place. Located in Pennsylvania’s lake region, the lodge offers a complete wellness menu.

2)Winvian, Litchfield Hills, CT
This whimsical resort offers individual themed cottages, offering a true escape from the city. We love the tree house and the Helicopter cottage. The property will provide transportation from Manhattan in a Mercedes Benz.

1) Lowell Hotel, NYC
With a fireplace menu and a fireplace butler, there is no better way to cozy up in the heart of the upper east side. The Lowell’s Valentine’s package includes lots of additional luxuries for couples.

If you’re really in a bind for the perfect gift and can’t getaway for the weekend, a Linden Travel gift certificate always shows how much you care.
